Russell Rescue of the Carolinas

Russell Rescue of the Carolinas, Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit breed specific foster-based rescue. Our volunteers have been involved with several Jack Russell rescues for many years, merging in 2022 to create a regionally based rescue focused in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and parts of Maryland.

Being a foster-based rescue allows us to properly vet a pup, take time to understand their personalities, and properly find the best home for that terrier. Our volunteers are dedicated to finding you the perfect Jack Russell Terrier.

Russell Rescue of the Carolinas, Inc does ask that you do your homework prior to adopting a new pet. We endeavor to find the best fit for each home but do understand many of our inquiries come from first-time adopters. Perspective adopters should review resources provided by the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA), most specifically the Breed information section of the JRTCA.

Available Dogs

Each of our terriers will come with full vaccinations, will be heartworm tested, microchipped, and altered. We do not adopt out dogs that have not been sterilized unless they are too young for the procedure. View our list of Available Dogs.

Adoption

If there is a terrier that you would like to adopt, or if you would like us to have a completed application on file for you when the perfect Jack Russell becomes available, please fill out an application.

Donate

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we care for our terriers through generous donations and adoption fees. These fees are crucial to our ability to rescue and properly vet each terrier.

Volunteer

Russell Rescue of the Carolinas, Inc could not exist without the generous time of our volunteers. We are always in need of foster homes, transport help, or administrative duties.
